Welcome to InterVarsity at the University of Houston - main campus! We have a few different ministries currently available and their descriptions below (click the name to jump to the chapter's page):
UHIV Multiethnic
InterVarsity's multiethnic chapter at the University of Houston desires for students of all backgrounds to be able to know and experience the love of Christ. We exist to spread the Gospel across campus while also developing students in their relationship with God so that they can become become leaders in faith wherever they go. We host weekly opportunities to build community with other believers while studying Scripture or worshiping together.
Harvest - South Asian InterVarsity
Harvest's mission is to grow and foster a community where South Asian students can gather together and pursue a deeper relationship with God. Thrive hosts outreaches on the campus to share the Gospel in new ways, like asking the question "how close are you to achieving the South Asian American dream?" Thrive also has gatherings where students can get together to study the Bible and worship through music, weekly.
International Christian Fellowship
At International Christian Fellowship, we understand that many international students are coming to a new place far away from home. Our hope is that we can create a space in which international students feel loved, welcomed, and are able to build a sense of "family" with one another while also learning more about who Jesus is.
Black Campus Ministries
Black Campus Ministries at the University of Houston seeks to be a fun and safe space for Black students to connect with each other while also discovering more about who Jesus is and how He calls us to live. Through our weekly gatherings together, we hope to build community through Bible study, prayer, outreach, service, and fun activities. Join us on Thursdays at 4pm!
